Music as a learning TOOL
Have you thought about using music as a learning tool to develop literacy? Children’s music books can provide a brand new world for your child to explore!  Combining literacy development with music and rhythm will nurture your child's learning by having them integrate knowledge from different subjects. Reading about music will create interest in your child to learn a musical instrument. If your child is already taking lessons, they will practice their instrument with new enthusiasm after reading stories about different musicians. While your child is having fun, you will get different ideas about reading with them. Many music books offer knowledge about different cultures and people. They also present a moral through a music story. Assimilating this information can be a way of developing compassion and character within a child as well as developing tolerance to different cultures.

The use of music as a learning tool when developing literacy can become an important step in child’s development. The combination of music, arts and literacy education will help your child learn in different ways. It will create an engaging way to learn.  It will develop critical thinking. It will lay the foundation for culture and artistic development.

Literacy development is important for every child! Music enhances child’s development!  Why not combine them both?

Come join us on an exciting musical adventure!

WHAT TO EXPECT
A new book for young children will be introduced at the beginning of every week (Monday). Each book will have a music theme. Many of the music books will be chosen to help the child develop character as well as tolerance through music. On some occasions, we will also be providing books with parenting tips. We don’t want to leave the adults out of the reading fun!

At the beginning of the week, you would have the opportunity to read about another interesting book, which you can then enjoy with your child.
