In the previous post we looked at a list of children’s music books. I feel that music children’s books need to be a part of every child’s library as they are growing up. There are lots of ways music can teach children indirectly. At the same time appreciation for music and the arts can be stronger if developed from an early age.
Here is the continued list of good children’s books about introducing the musical instruments, learning new concepts, and teaching character through music.
Learn About Music Through Reading, Watching And Singing!
Often learning can happen through…watching and singing along! Check these wonderful preschool and kindergarden materials.
Mole Music is one book that all music teachers know and recommend. See how the mole learns to play the violin and develops persistence and compassion through it. This chapter is also accompanied by another humorous book introducing the different instruments to children with rhymes and patterns.
Music can teach character indirectly! See a book that shows one example. See the story about Irving the frog who develops many friendships through playing his violin!
