Ready Halloween Group Class Lesson Plan Book One
This is a super fun Halloween group class lesson plan that asks the students to find the most beautiful sound by going to extremes between a “scratchy” sound and the bets contact point on their bow.
This lesson asks the students to play be aware of what their bow and sound by asking them to go to extremes. First they have to play a piece scratchy. Then they have to turn the same piece around and play it with the most beautiful sound and straight bow possible. Students have fun with it!

Ready Halloween Group Class Lesson Plan Book Two
Halloween can be a fantastic time to teach contact points. With my students Book 2 and higher, I use that time to through different contact points and talk about sul tasto and sul ponticello.
Here is a ready Halloween Suzuki group class activity that does exactly that:
- Students get “spooky” cards with the terms written down for them
- Then they get cards that they get to draw that tell them which piece to practice.
- This Halloween activity is most appropriate for Book 2 as it incorporates Book 2 pieces with old review pieces from Book 1. However, you can also use it for students Book 3. Just start with the piece that they are working n, then use this activity as a review of Books 1&2.
