Working at schools where students come from different backgrounds creates lots of challenges for teachers. We have to think about different ways to increase student engagement. The more diverse the school, the bigger the challenge is or a teacher. We need to look at our teaching from different angles to find ways to reach out to the students who may have difficult home situation or may come from a very different background.
I strongly believe in teaching character through the arts and…. any other subject. I have also discovered that teaching this way brings students together and empowers the students from lower-economic backgrounds. I have additionally found out that increase of student numbers and engagement in your program is dependent on various factors, many of which have less to do with your main assignments.
